Hoosier documentaries
that inspire.
Hoodox is a nonprofit organization on a mission to support & share storytelling that connects Hoosiers, sparks conversations, & inspires positive change in Indiana.
This month's Outside the Dox is presented in partnership with The Emily Talk in observation of Disability Awareness Month. Watch the Emmy Award winning film Teacher of Patience for FREE on Hoodox from March 24th to March 30th, then join us for a virtual Q&A from 7:00-8:00pm ET on Wednesday, March 26th.
“As a Hoosier filmmaker, it means a lot to me for Teacher of Patience to have a home on Hoodox,” says Director Carmen Vincent. “This film is about small-town Indiana disability advocates working to inform and empower their first responder community. So, to share space with fellow Hoosiers and talk about a story that might otherwise not be all across the ‘big screen’ is a special thing. That's the power of small-town storytelling. That's the power of Hoodox.”
During the Q&A we’ll discuss filmmaking for raising disability awareness, how the film and The Emily Talk has impacted communities, and more. All are welcome to tune into this free event!
Virtual Q&A Guests include:
Carmen Vincent, Director of Teacher of Patience
Tom, Tina, & Emily Felter, Film Subjects & Organizers of The Emily Talk
