DreamDox Returns July 23, 2026!

Thursday, July 23, 2026
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Indy Fringe Theatre • Indianapolis
Part of Indy Shorts International Film Festival Week

Last year, we launched the very first DreamDox…

More than 60 Indiana filmmakers gathered to share ideas, make connections, and dream a little bigger about what documentary storytelling could look like in our state. Since then, we've watched DreamDox attendees pitch projects at PitchDox, launch new films, form creative partnerships, and continue building momentum in exciting ways.

This year's DreamDox will take place in partnership with Heartland Film's Indy Shorts International Film Festival, placing our gathering right in the heart of one of Indiana's biggest weeks for filmmakers. We're finalizing an INCREDIBLE speaker lineup that I can't wait to share with you, along with new opportunities to connect, learn, and be inspired alongside fellow storytellers from across the state.

As an added bonus, the first 30 DreamDox registrants will receive a ticket to Backlot Bash, one of the most sought-after events of Indy Shorts week and an incredible opportunity to connect with filmmakers from Indiana and beyond. Following DreamDox, we'll also gather for a happy hour at Living Room Theaters before heading to the Bash together.

Registration is now open, so grab your ticket now!

  • "The event was wonderfully organized — registration was a breeze, pre-conference communications were informative and provided great preparation, everything was straightforward on the day of the event. Bravo!"

  • "Overall a fantastic event with great content and speakers. Hard to say it 'far exceeded my expectations' since your branding had me feeling like it was going to be amazing and lived up to that expectation. :)"

  • "Loved this interactive exercise and the deeper awareness about our project that came from it. It also embodied the joy of creating."

  • "I know it’s only going to get better from here! I talked to several people who were really excited about this event and even more excited about the future of events like this in Indy. I was surprised by how many people said it was their first event of this kind. Something big is brewing — you can feel the energy around it!"
